Evangelion : Ch2

“See you later Ikari. I’ll go on ahead.” Rei said as she left.

“Uh. Okay.” Shinji said. He was speechless. Rei. She just. She just. What the hell just happen? She just talked to him.

“Hey what the hell was dat about?” Touji said hitting him on the head.

“I don’t know !”

“Shinji you dog. As if living with beautiful Katsuragi isn’t enough, you got Rei!”

“Hey it isn’t like that!”

After the 5^th angel attack, Rei was more open to him. That was okay with him. More friend more better. And it also meant that she is learning human emotions. She is human after all.

Today was important to him Today is when he meets the Second child. He saw the battle on the tape, which Unit 01 was fighting 6^th angel on the open see. He was impressed.

“Hey Touji. Look!” Kensuki shouted and pointed toward a girl.

“Wow! What a babe!”

“Totally my type.”

Shinji looked closer. It was a red haired girl in yellow dress. She was beautiful alright. Then he saw two neutral responder on her head. She is the Eva pilot.

‘So she is that famous second child. Shinji is lucky guy. She seems nice.”

Then the girl went crazy. She lost the game and was hitting the machine shouting in German curse.

‘Hmm maybe I did read the story wrong. She is more violent than Akane.’

Sweat drops were forming on his head “Uh. Lets leave.”

“Yeah Let’s” Touji agreed “She is good looking, but her personality..”

Kensuki however. “Oh she is soo cool!”

Asuka heard it and turned at the sound. There was one guy with lovesick look and two guy who looked like his friends. She headed toward them

“Gimme 100 yen.” She said coldly.

“Wh..What? 100 yen?” Touji said

“It’s peeping fee. You saw my panty right? So 100 yen each.” She said

“Oh you mean your red panty? No we didn’t see it.” Shinji said. This was totally unlike Shinji but who cares. 2 month is enough to change.

Asuka was furious. This guy did see her panty. “Why. You! You did see my panty!”

“You mean you are wearing a red panty? Geez I was only kidding.” Shinji said as he scratched back of his head. Touji and Kensuki was laughing.

Asuka was more mad “Why you. Making fun of me!” She got ready to punch him but accidentally pushed a guy who was behind her. “Oops sorry”

“Oh no!” The guy was furious. ”Sorry? I was in the final level. You are going to be sorry!” He said in a treating way. Asuka took the challenge and kicked him in the head. He dropped to the floor.

Touji’s and Kensuki’s jaw dropped to the floor. Shinji was impressed. She is Second children alright.

“Let’s get out here.” Touji said as he grabbed both Kensuki and Shinji and moved away. Asuka was busy fighting all the other bullies. Shinji saw that she need no help, so he decided to leave.

“Hey hold it. Where are you guys going.” One of the guy said as he pulled them back. Shinji turned around and saw 3 gangs.

“Hey we have nothing to do with this.” Touji said

“Shut your ass.” The guy punched at Shinji, because he was weakest looking of all. But surprisingly he blocked and grabbed his punch. He tried to pull away but he couldn’t. Shinji was about to punch him, but saw that Asuka came and took care of them all. So he was holding unconscious person.

“I can take care of them you know.” Shinji said in German.

“Yeah right. Look at you. You can’t even hit them back loser!” She replied in German.

Then they heard Silence of Police. “Damn Police. See ya must run.” She ran away. Shinji and his friends knowing what is best for them decided to leave as well.

Shinji arrived at Nerv headquarter. He took out his ID card as he walked toward the front entrance. He heard a voice then.

“What’s wrong with this machine! They just issued this card!”

He saw that it was Asuka. She was hitting and kicking the machine. He approached her and she turned around.

“You? What are you doing here?” She said pointing at him. Then he saw the ID card he was holding. “You! You are the Third Children !?!”

All the personals in NERV headquarter heard a shriek of a little girl and wondered what is going on.

“Everyone I like you to meet Miss Asuka Soryu.” Misato said as she introduced Asuka. “She will be working with us with her Unit 02.”

“Nice to see you again.” Shinji said

“I see you too have already met.” Ritsuko said.

“Of course. How cold I not forget my hero.” Asuka said as she moved next to him and posing in loving way. “People were picking on me while I was shopping and he came and saved me.” She said

Misato and Ritsuko gave him a cold look. He had promised that he would never use his power to anyone because its top secret. That includes his martial art skill. There is no way a person can be good martial artist with his body of his. It just isn’t right. He have been working out, it was still not good enough.

Shinji felt Asuka pinching his buttock. “Snitch and I’ll make you pay for it.” He heard her say to him. She said in whisper, so only he could hear it. He chuckled. She was threatening him. He knew how to get out. First he winked at Misato and Ritsuko, hinting them that he didn’t fight. Then said

“Asuka. I know that you are grateful. But could you move your hand from my butt please. I believe it is improper. also I’m taken.” He said as he moved next to Rei, grabbing her hand.

Ritsuko was laughing. Misato keep her cool and said. “My Asuka. Aren’t you too young for that?” and started to chuckle. Asuka was red with anger and embarrassment.

“Hey it isn’t like that! Grrrr. You’ll pay for that!” Asuka said as she stormed out of the room. As soon as she was out, Misato also started to laugh. They were all busy laughing, that Shinji was the only one who saw Rei actually blushing little.

Asuka was still staring at him in angry look while they were eating. This was going too far and was starting to annoy him. Shinji looked at Misato for help. She got the look and said “Asuka. Didn’t you hear that he was taken?”

“It’s not like that!” she yelled

Misato giggled. This was fun. She was about to make another comment when someone grabbed her from behind.

“Hey Whose there. Cut it out!” She yelled

“Kaji !” Asuka yelled in happy voice.

“What?!? ” Misato yelled as she got away from the stranger There he looking same as ever. “What. What are you doing here?”

“ Nice to see you again Misato. Looking lovely as ever. I was only escorting Asuka here.” He pointed toward the red-haired girl who was tugging at his hand. He turned around and saw Shinji “So you are Shinji right.”

“Hu? how did you know my name?” Shinji asked

“You’re famous. Or at least to us. A boy who beat 3 angels without any training.” He said.

“Oh yeah I remember. His Eva went berserk and killed that 3^rd angel. But why can’t I see the other battles?” Asuka asked.

“Well from what I heard, it is considered as top secret.” Kaji said

“Heh probably went berserk again, Eva doing all the work, while he sat in his sit.”

“Nope I don’t think so. I saw what happened, and he did destroy them single handedly and barehanded.” He said.

Misato spilled her coffee. “That’s Top secret, how did you know that?”

“Well I’m working with Ritsuko, and I am to figure out that power source.”

“Uh could you tell me what is going on here?” Asuka said

“Sorry. Top secret.” Shinji said

“I didn’t ask you.”

“By the way Shinji. I heard that you live with Misato. Tell me is she still wild in bed ?” Kaji asked Shinji.

“Yeah. My room is right next to hers, so I could hear all the noise coming from her room.” Shinji answered with smiled. He knew he was joking on Misato.

Misato spilled her coffee. “What the hell are you saying. In front of the children no less.”

“Huh? What’s wrong with front of the children?” Shinji asked innocently.

“Just get out Kaji!” She yelled at Kaji, After all what can she say to Shinji who doesn’t know.

Kaji left.

Asuka is still frozen in place from the shock of what Kaji said.

He didn’t get Asuka. She was very competitive, and refuse any help and friendship. He tried to get along with her but she just kept being angry. Now she was picking on Rei. She grabbed her shoulder and called her ‘Doll’ He was mad he grabbed Asuka’s wrist. “Would you cut it out!” he yelled

Asuka looked hurt. “I see that’s how it is.” Then she turned around and ran.

“I think she got the wrong idea. I wish we can get along with her.” He said to Rei

“I do not know. But if I’m order to I will.” She said.

They walked along for a while when they heard the alarm. That was not good. His Eva.. Oh never mind it is supposed to finish by yesterday. He grabbed Rei by hand again.

“Come on Let’s go.” He said as he transported to the locker room. He didn’t have to worry about using his abilities in front of Rei because she already know. But he can’t show it to Asuka.

Rei Went into her locker room, while Shinji went to his. He Changed into his Plug suit. And headed for his Eva. During the way he met Asuka, Breathing heavily from all the running.

“How the hell did you get here so fast?” She asked

“I took the short cut.” He said as he walked past her and to his Eva.

He looked at his Finished Eva in Awe. The shape was same except that color was gray, with hint of White and black. It looked awesome. It also had Katana they promised. There two of them attached behind the arm by shoulder housing.

“You like the change?” He turned and saw Ritsuko.

“Yeah I could really use that Katana.”

“Glad you like it. Come on. You have job to do”

Shinji nodded and ran toward his Plug.

Shinji’s Grey Eva and Asuka’s Red Eva rode in train to the designated spot. Once they got off, they took the waiting umbilical cord and attached to their back. Their Eva was ready to go.

“Hey Shinji. What’s with that sword.” Asuka asked

“It’s called Katana and I like to use it.”

“Anyway. I’ll attack first, and you cover me alright?”

“Suit yourself.”

Shinji took the gun and waited for the angel to arrive. Soon there was water sprout and the angel came out. What was surprising was that it had 2 cores. How could he beat that? He watched as Unit 02 jump and using her spear cut the enemy in half. Shinji was impress

“I’m impressed.” He said

“Of course. I’m the best.” Asuka said in her usual manner.

Shinji thought about the angel for a second. Something was not right. Firstable it had two cores. And he still can feel the life sign form the angel. And that shape. It looks familiar. It looked like….. “Oh. Shit. Asuka! Get the hell out of there!”

Asuka was curious. Shinji just yelled to get out and he took out his both Katana and was charging at her direction. She was about to protest when she heard Misato’s voice. <Asuka the angel’s still alive!”> She turned around and to late. The arm caught by her neck. She was surprised. There were two of them. They had regenerated. This was not good.

Shinji came charging in after he took out his External power. When it comes to battle with Katana he had to take out the cord. He first cut the arm that hold Unit 02. When he saw that she took out her sonic knife and start fighting back, he used his Katana to take care of the other one.

Asuka was amazed. Shinji was good with his Katana of his. She could tell from way he was moving. But no she isn’t going to say anything. She has her own honor. She used her little knife and attacked furiously at the angel. But the angel kept on regenerating. This was not good. And her power was running out.

Shinji attacked furiously. He attacked at the core but it also kept regenerating. “Misato, This thing keep on regenerating. We need to retreat, our power is running out!”

Shinji turned around and saw Unit 02 going numb from loss of power. He quickly grabbed her Eva, and ran. He had very few power left because he was attacking with full AT field on. He ran like a mad Eva and stopped at the main street. He skidded for a while until his Eva was out of power. Where his Eva sat in middle of the street.

“This is your fault.” Asuka yelled at Shinji as they sat and ate their lunch. They were inside the NERV headquarter.

“How is it my fault? I just saved your life.”

“I don’t need your help!”

“Now. Now Asuka calm down.” Kaji said as he came in.

“Kaji!” She said in a lovingly voice.

“Mr. Kaji, any news about the Angel.” Shinji asked in concerned voice.

“Hm. Concerned about your job? I like that. Well from what I heard, UN dropped N2 mine on them. They are badly burned and MAGI predicted 5 days until they start attacking.”

“So any Plans ?”

“Hmm, Misato should come up with something by now. You see. This 7^th angel is very difficult to defeat. It has 2 body but one soul.”

<Would the pilot of Unit 01 and Unit 02, Please report to the second conference room at once. Repeat would…..> the comm. Said.

“See. I told you Misato will come up with something.” Kaji said with smile.

“Misato, Why do you wish to see us?” Shinji asked.

“Well, To defeat this angel, you two need to move in a perfect sync. So.” She opened the door to the room with two bed. He didn’t not like where it was leading.

“This is you new room. You two will be living together.”

“WHAT?!?” Whole Tokyo-3 felt the earth quake form the yell. After all NERV headquarter is under the city.

“Now. Now. This is for the mission and I won’t take no for an answer.” Misato said innocently, and left.

Shinji was speechless. How could she do this to him. Oh well, like it could get worst. At least Rei isn’t here. Wait is that a bad thing?

“I’ll take the shower first.” Shinji said.

“No! Haven’t you heard of Chivalry. Lady’s first.” She yelled as she entered.

Shinji groaned and lied down on his bed as he waited for Asuka to come out.

“Shinji”

Great she was trying to tease him again. He looked up and saw Asuka very sexy looking. She was still wet and had only had the tower around her. Now if it was Shinji he would have a major nosebleed, but this is new Shinji we are talking about. He is married to Goddess Skuld. Heck he even head sex with Skuld. Asuka is nothing compared to Skuld.

“Bath is all yours.” Asuka said in a very sexy voice. She could predict how he could react. But she didn’t expected this. He just walked past her and entered the bathroom. He just said thanks and ignored her. He ignored this perfect body! What the hell is going on here. Maybe he did it with that Rei girl. She dropped her tower. She was wearing very small cloth inside. She wanted to tease Shinji, but it didn’t work. She sat in her bed, trying to figure out why he didn’t freak out from hormone overflow. Then Shinji came back out again.

“Oh by the way, That trick won’t work on me. And knowing Misato she might have surveillance cameras around this room.” Then he went back inside. Asuka was speechless. How cold he have known that it was the trick?

Shinji couldn’t believe this. As if living with Asuka isn’t enough, now he have to Dance with her. What is this Match making? At least they could have given him some proper clothing. This is… urg. The music started and they started to dance. Shinji noticed that he can do Katas in a graceful way but when it comes to dance, He can NOT dance. His motion was slow and had no grace in them. This was not good.

Lunch time. Shinji was walking wearily down the hall to the lunch room with Asuka. He was tired from all the dance. How could he dance with out using his powers. What does Misato want? And yelling from Asuka didn’t help much.

“C… Commander!” Asuka said suddenly. Shinji turned around and indeed saw his father.

“ How is everything going?” He said in his usual cold voice.

“Good sir. We’ll definitely beat them sir.” She said

Shinji’s head was down. He didn’t want to face his father now.

“Good. Keep up a good work.” Gendo said as he walked away.

Shinji was depressed. He was running away again. “Father.” He said

“Yes” Gendo turned around and faced him

“We are about to have lunch. If you like. We could…”

“Can’t I have work to do.” He said coldly as he turned around and walked away.

Shinji was getting mad. The anger was started to boil inside him. Asuka noticed this. She felt uncomfortable at this sight. His father is. He is. What kind of family is this. She noticed that Shinji was mad, so she decided to make fun of him “Father Complex?” The result was not what she was expecting.

“Arrggggg!” Shinji screamed and punched the wall next to him. The wall taking the Full power of Shinji’s punch caved in. It wasn’t just any wall. It was 10 in thick heavy and missile proof metal wall, and he just punched it through. Asuka decided to never make fun of him about his father. She watched wordlessly as he walked away quietly.

That night, Shinji couldn’t sleep at all. Living with girl he can take it but this girl. She is more worst then Akane! Mommy she heard her say. She was talking in sleep? ‘Mother’ she said Mother? She said she has no mother. ‘Mommy why did you have to die.’ She said this time. So that’s why. Her arrogance almost fooled him Maybe she is normal.

It was the day before the battle. Shinji’s dancing had gotten better but it was still not as graceful as Asuka’s.

“Asuka, Try to match with Shinji. He isn’t as fast as you are.” Misato yelled at Asuka.

“Why are you yelling at me. It’s Shinji that’s slow not me! And What’s Wonder girl doing here. She is distracting me.”

“Fine. Rei why don’t you try with Shinji.” Misato said

Rei calmly said yes and walked toward Shinji while Asuka walked away. Music started and they both started to dance. Misato and Kaji awed at the dance. They were perfect.

“See Asuka. If it wasn’t her Eva that was destroyed we would have used her and match up with Shinji to fight this angel.” Misato said to see if she would get competitive.

“Fine be that way. See if I care!” Asuka yelled as she ran out.

Shinji saw Asuka yell and run out the door. “Go after her, Shinji. It your job” Kaji said as he wondered what to do. Taking his advice he went after her.

He found her sitting in middle of the beautiful garden. He slowly approached her. “Soryu” he said

“Go away.”

“Soryu.”

“Why does she yell at me. You are the one who is doing wrong. Not me.!”

“I’m sorry. But if you relax more you should..”

“Shut up. Are you trying to give me an Advice.?”

“Advice? No. Don’t you get tired of it? You are still a kid. You shouldn’t be trying to miss good-at-all.”

“Shut UP! What do you Know!”

“More than anything. You see I used to be like you. So I understand.”

“You understand? That ‘s a laugh.”

She saw as Shinji move toward the garden. He picked up a flower. She moved closer and saw that is was dead flower. The colors were ugly brown. He picked up the flower and moved toward her.

“I do understand. I understand more than anything. Even the way life take place in our lives. I understand the way this universe is working, life going through all around us. I understand them alright.”

Shinji gave that dead flower to her. As soon as Asuka received the flower he turned around. “I’ll leave you now. I understand that you want to be along for a while, and it will be best for you. And I’m sorry. For everything.” Then he left.

Asuka looked at the dead flower he gave her. To her surprise, the flower was not dead. Somehow the dead flower turned to very beautiful flower that was full of life. The petals were rich pink color with hint of red and yellow. And the stems and leaves were bright green. She wondered if he switched the flower but he didn’t it was the exact same flower. And this Flower was more beautiful than any flower in the fields. Somehow he had turned the dead flower and gave back its life turning it to one of the most beautiful one. Looking at the flower she had another thought about Shinji.

Both Asuka and Shinji didn’t notice Kaji hiding behind the pillar and spying on them.

Shinji lied on his bed. Asuka hadn’t come back yet. Maybe he said too much. Hope that flower would calm her down a little. Then the door opened and showed Asuka. “Soryu..” She than suddenly jumped, destroying one of the speaker. Inside there was a spy camera. He looked up at Asuka who had the flower on her hair. He smiled.

“Do you really think that I’m gonna let you say that to me. Hurry up we better practice.” She said

“Alright. Now that’s Asuka that I know of.” Shinji said as he got up and reached for the player.

“By the way, thanks for the flower. It’s beautiful.” She said

“Don’t mention it.” He turned around and began practicing with her.

“The Angel is starting to move!”

“Where are the pilots?” Misato yelled as she ran toward their room. She opened the door and found them sleeping on the floor. This was not happening to her. At least they are still dressed.

Shinji and Asuka woke up and noticed that they were both in their Evas. From the sound of all the alarms and yells the angel is on the move.

“Hey Asuka you ready.”

“Sure thing. We go out in full AT field.” She said

“And we will finish in 62 second we have.”

“Ops I forgot to take it off.”

Both Evas launched as their umbilical cord fell off. They were lifted high into the air, where they had the good view of the Angels. The music started… and the dancing began.

“You screwed up the landing didn’t you?” Asuka said to Shinji

“Sorry All the dust covered my view I couldn’t see.” Shinji said after the dance. They ended it with very powerful sync Kick at the angel and the angel blew up. But he messed up the ending by landing on top of her.

“I’ll pass it this time. Your weren’t that bad.”

“Praise from you? Thanks anyhow.”

They both fell asleep.

“So that’s what happened.” Touji said as he and his best friends Kensuki and Shinji walked toward their home.

“Yeah, Turned out that she is alright once you know her.”

“Hey Shinji are you moving out?” Kensuki asked.

“No. Why?”

“What’s all this boxes?”

Shinji looked and saw that he was right. There were boxes everywhere. They had to squeeze through to get in. Then he saw the marking on the box.

“Hey these are Asuka’s. What are they doing here.”

“Because I moved here.”

Shinji turned and saw Asuka.

“Asuka? You what?!?!” Shinji said. Actually he was waiting for this. After all he knew this was going to happen.

“You lucky dog! You live with Katsuragi, and Rei seems to be interested in you, and now you live with Soryu too. Hey share the wealth!” Touji and Kensuki said as they attacked him.

“Hey I didn’t ask for this.”

Shinji skillfully moved away and entered his room. Then he saw “What the HELL?”

“Hey what are you doing in my room.” Asuka came in and asked.

“Your room!?! This is my room!”

“Not anymore. While you were at school I claimed as mine.”

“Oh well. You do have a lot of stuff, so I guess you can have this room. Then where are my stuff. I hope you didn’t open the one that says ‘keep out’”

Asuka’s left eye started to twitch. Is there any way to get in his nerve? She know that he is understanding but this is going to far. Wait he is smiling that means…

“Okay girl once you know her?” Touji said?

“Hey it happens okay.”

“Okay we’ll go now. See ya.” They waved goodbye and left.

Shinji started to look for his stuff as soon as they left.

“Your stuff is already in your room. I moved them all. And no I didn’t open the box that says ‘Keep Out’ How in the world am I going to open the fire-proof box with 6 locks.” Asuka said.

“Heh. Thanks. I see you still kept the flower.” Shinji said as he pointed to the flower on her hair. It was still healthy as ever

“Don’t get the wrong idea. I’m just keeping it because its beautiful.”

“Don’t lie to me. You are keeping it because you want to be reminded of something. That is the main reason. Although I don’t know what you are reminded of though.”

“Hmph. Anyway what’s in that box anyway.”

“You want to see?”

“Sure.”

Shinji brought his Fire-proof box with 6 locks. He slowly opened all the locks and opened it. Inside there were bunch of papers. When he took out all the papers that looked like some sort of plan there was glittering light. Asuka take a look and gasped. Inside there were jewels, and they were so beautiful. She picked up a pendent that looked like a necklace. The pendent had a wield looking design on it.

“What is this.”

“That is the Pendent of Shalock. Legend says that the person who wears it is named Shalock, because he is the chosen one from the gods to save the realm form evil. Or something like that.”

“Ha. Ha. Ha You!”

“Hey you don’t see me wearing it do you?”

“You are right. There is no way you will ever be the Shalock or something. What’s this.” She picked up the ring. It was golden ring with clear see through crystal in the middle. Inside crystal there was some sort liquid inside. And around the ring there were several unrecognizable letters.

“It’s ring.”

“I know that. Just what’s all this stuff. And this crystal. I never seen this before.”

`”I don’t exactly know. I found it.”

Asuka went through after jewels after jewels. He didn’t want to show her that ring. It was his wedding ring to Skuld. And that liquid lets him talk or even see her. Although he promised her that he won’t use it a lot.

“If you want you can have one of them except some of them.”

Suddenly her face went bright. “ Really can I have this one?” She picked up the wedding ring.

“No I need that.”

“Then how about this one.” She picked up a brooch with very beautiful crystal on top and several other small crystals around it.. He started to laugh as he recognized the item. “Sure you can have it.”

“Why are you laughing?” Asuka was getting mad at him

“That band. Legend has it that it belonged to the queen in the Moon Kingdom. It is known to have very powerful magical power” He got that from the Amazons in time line where Moon Kingdom was destroyed with battle with Queen Beryl. It was really disappointing. He really wanted to meet Sailor Senshi.

“Magical power yeah right. Thanks anyway. Are you really sure I can have it?”

“Sure it only works on girls anyway.” He said simply as he close the bow and start to arrange his new room. Asuka never understood what he meant by that, but she was happy because she just got very expensive for free. And from look of it, it is real.

That night they decided to have party for the new roommate. Touji and Kensuki was already here. They were helping Shinji to get the food ready.

“Hey how come Asuka and Misato isn’t here.”

“Well Asuka is still in her room. Probably playing around with Brooch I gave her, and Misato isn’t here yet from her job.”

“Brooch you gave her?”

“Yeah I found one in the ground long time ago. I don’t really need it so I just gave it to her.”

“Sure.”

“Hey it’s not what you think.”

“Sure.”

He gave up after that.

“Hi” came a very shy voice. They turned and saw that it was Hikari.

“Hey. What are you doing here?”

“I invited her.” Asuka said as she came out from her room. She was wearing her school dress and had the brooch on her chest.

“Hi Asuka. Wow where did you get that brooch. That looks expensive and it really suits you.”

“Thanks Shinji gave it to me.”

They all stared at Shinji.

“It’s not like that!”

“Sure.”

Shinji started to bang his head on the wall murmuring that this is not happening to me.

“Guys get back to work.” Asuka said to 2 boys.

“Hey why don’t YOU work.”

“Because I have to settle my room!”

“Hey cooking is Women’s job not ours.”

“What did you say!”

“Touji stop picking on my friend!” Hikari yelled at Touji. Touji stopped and stared at her for a while and join Shinji in wall banging as both girl went into Asuka’s room.

“I’m home.” Misato said as she came back from her work behind. Behind there was Kaji Ritsuko and Maya.

“Welcome home.” Asuka said in sweet voice as she came out of her room. “KAJI!” She yelled as she hang from Kaji’s arm.

Touji and Kensuki watched as Asuka acted as good girl toward the guests.

“What’s with all the kissass.” Touji asked

“Don’t ask me.”

Shinji walked toward Asuka. “Asuka. This isn’t German. You don’t have to act nice toward everyone. Just act yourself. You are making fool of yourself.”

“Yeah Asuka. The way you are acting, its making us sick.” Touji added

“SHUT UP!” Asuka yelled as she landed a perfect uppercut on Touji.

The room was quiet. Then they started to go through as if that was normal. Asuka stared at them. Shinji was right.

“See I am right. I am right when I say I’m right.” Shinji said.

“You know Shinji. Have I tell you that I HATE YOU WHEN YOU DO THAT!”

Very angry Asuka started to strangle Shinji who was trying to get away. People started to smile as events folded. The party was fun.

Shinji smiled as he sat down on the chair. His life was getting better. If only he…. Never mind that can never happened. His life was good. But those angels. Its something he had to take care of.

--8^th angel--

Shinji patiently waited as Asuka carried out the operation under the volcano. Her mission was to capture the Angel before it woke up. He could feel the Ki of the angel. It was very low. It won’t be able to attack at all. But this is Angel he was talking about. He has no idea what could happen.

5 minute passed

10 minute

He felt it. He felt the growing power. “Asuka! Get the hell out of there!”

“Shit! The angel is growing!”

The mission changed to kill the angel Shinji waited outside as he felt the ki of both the angel and Eva. Suddenly he felt the ki of Angel disappear. “Alright Asuka you did it!” Then he felt the Ki of Asuka started to faint. “Asuka? Asuka?”

<Shinji, her armor is ripped open. Pull her out.>

Shinji panicked and started to pull the power cord. As soon as he saw the red Eva he grabbed and pulled to safety.

Asuka saw Shinji’s Eva’s hand and grabbed. Soon she was out form the Lava. That idiot had just put his hand inside the volcano. He should have felt like as his hands were in fire. But she didn’t yell at her. She was rather thankful. That was time when his view of him completely changed. But she just acted the same.

--9^th Angel--

“The angel is Attacking!” Asuka yelled as she put down her phone. Shinji Rei and Asuka were all in a shopping mall. They all rather got friendly. And Asuka suggested to buy some cloth for Rei, since she has no cloth.

“An Angel? How come there is no alarm?”

“Because all the powering the city went out.”

“Then how in the world are we going to tell them that there is an angel attack?” Shinji said as he pointed to all the people in the mall.

“I believe that, that will.” Rei said in her soft voice as she pointed toward the mountain. There hidden by the mountain was huge leg sticking out like that of the Spider. It was the angel alright. Soon people were running toward the shelter.

“Now how in the world do we get to Geo-Front. Its 5 miles from here.” Asuka said

“Wait here.” Shinji said as he ran away.

“Now what is he doing.”

Few minutes later. A red Ferrari four seater convertible came and screeched to stop in right front of them. The driver was the one and only Shinji.

“What are trying to do Kill us.”

“Stop complaining and get in!”

“Hey how come you are driving. Let me drive!” Asuka yelled

“Nope I’m driving. Now are you going to get in or what.”

Rei jumped into the back seat and buckled up Asuka who has nothing to so jumped to the passenger seat next to Shinji and buckled too.

“Wow a Ferrari. You have a taste Shinji.” Asuka commented

“Ferrari 620M-GT four seater convertible. V-12 engine with 650 horse power. 0-60 in 3.7 second, quarter mile in 11.7 second at 140 mph. And top speed of 230 mph.” Rei said stating all the fact.

“Okay… Come one Shinji Let’s go!” Asuka was getting impatient.

“Wait. Let me just get the music.” Shinji said as he pop in his CD and the music started to play. “Okay Let’s go.” He put the car in gear and slammed on the accelerator.

“You better not kill us!” Asuka yelled as the car started to accelerate at fast speed.

The car made the fast curve at the exit from the Mall. And the car started race on the empty high way.

“Shinji! That’s Sharp U-turn ahead. Slow down!” Asuka yelled frantically. But Shinji didn’t stop. He just maintained his original speed. And at the curve he pressed his clutch and turned his wheel sharp turn to the left. As soon as the car started to slid he turned his wheel to the right letting the car go that way and stopping the car from over steering. The car’s real wheel lost its traction and was making all the smoke as the care turned to left while wheel slipping and at high G. Asuka, Rei grimaced as they felt more than 2 Gs on their body. Shinji however had the total control of his car. As soon as the car slid he stepped on his accelerator. In other words he was in total control. He knew exactly what to so. Well it did help living once as top speed race driver.

The car went through twisted high way in high speed. It never went down lower than 60 mph. And all the way Asuka was yelling at Shinji to slow down.

Misato cursed herself. The power was out so she had hard time getting out from the headquarter. She finally got out and was heading for her car when she saw red Ferrari convertible. The car stopped in front of the entrance. Who ever was driving has to be a very professional to drive like that. The driver had total control of the car. She looked closer and started to see Shinji driving.

“You dumbass! Are you trying to kill us!” Said Asuka whose hair was in total mass. “Your driving is worst than Misato.”

“No he isn’t.” Rei said this time “Unlike Misato, he knew what he was doing and had total control of the car. Just because he drive fast doesn’t mean his driving skill is bad. Only experts could have done that U-turn at that speed.” Rei said in her soft voice as she got out of the car.

Shinji turned off the engine he heard Misato calling. “Hey Shinji You were driving?”

“Yes”

“Where in the world did you learn to drive like that.”

“Part of training.”

“Oh anyway come on. You don’t have much time.”

Misato and 3 pilot went into the Headquarter. Shinji got into his unit 01. Asuka got into her unit 02 and Rei got into her Unit 00 which was now ready for battle.

The power was out so they couldn’t went up to the surface using the launcher. Instead they had to climb up the tunner that was opened by the Angel’s acid. Unit 01 was climbing using his back and his leg. “Rei throw me the gun!” Shinji said and Unit 00 grabbed the gun and Threw at him. He easily grabbed it , aimed at the opening and fired. Unfortunately for angel. The core was right on it. So all the bullet hit the core unexpectly. It didn’t even had chance to put out its AT field. It blew up soon

--Next day—

“Guess what?” Shinji said to Asuka who was watching T.V. munching on her chip.

“What.”

“NERV make me take the drivers test. And Now I have a license. They even gave me the car!”

“You’re kidding. They gave YOU the license AND car?”

“Yep”

“What car did they give you?”

“The same car I drove yesterday!”

“Then what are we waiting for. I’m bored here. Let’s go for a ride!”

Shinji blinked. How in the world did she manage to change that fast? He was sure he didn’t blinked.

--10^th angel—

Unit 01 trusted his hand forward and focused all his AT field. The angel landed right in the middle of it. He used all his powers to make sure the angel didn’t crash into earth. Help came when Unit00 and Unit 02 came opening up their AT field. The angel started to rise.

“Asuka!”

“I know!” Asuka yelled as her Eva ripped open Angel’s AT field and took Unit 01’s Katana plunged it at the core. Soon the Angel blew up.

“Why does it always blow up!” Shinji yelled as his and other Evas was sent flying away by the blast.

Shinji watched from the top of the hill. This hill was high enough to give a good view of all of the magnificence of Tokyo-3. There were also telescopes around. Behind him was his favorite Ferrari.

He watched the city as the sun sat. It was beautiful. This was his city. This is the city he protects and he lives on. And this is where he calls Home.
